The Design of Durability Test Bench
[Abstract] Door hinges (especially passenger cars and passenger cars) are one of the main
components of car bodies. Comfort (e.g. leakage and sound insulation); Safety (such as side impact
prevention) plays an important role. The development of modern car door hinges has attracted more and
more attention from consumers. With the increase of the number of cars in the current society, the usage
of car door hinges is also increasing. The hinge mechanism plays a key role in the decoration, safety,
reliability and manufacturability of the whole automobile parts. There are strict requirements for the
service time of the mechanism. If the service time exceeds the limited time, the driving safety of the car
can't be guaranteed. Different structures and different quality mechanisms have different service time.
Therefore, the durability of the door hinge needs to be tested by a special testing institution. According
to the actual use and the test of the hinge system, we developed a research experimental platform.
This paper mainly studies a test-bed, the main work of which is to imitate the action of opening
and closing automobile doors by humans, and to test the service time of door hinges through this
operation. The design of this experimental device is mainly composed of the following parts, including
an actuating mechanism of the door hinge, an inner switch mechanism of the door hinge, an outer
switch mechanism of the door hinge, and a door lock mechanism. The equipment can test the stiffness
and strength of the actuator by testing the different forces and position changes when the car is closed.
In the process of testing, the phenomenon of position deviation and vibration that can be observed by
human beings cannot occur. There are many ways to unlock the door hinge mechanism, including
throw-out, push-flat, side-open, etc. Therefore, in the process of use, the parts of the door hinge
mechanism are easy to be damaged, so as to test this problem..
